Fertility & Baby
Nourishing and preparing the body before conception, during pregnancy, and after baby is born is VITAL to having a healthy child. Proper fetal development depends on the nutritional storage the expectant mother has built up during the pre-conceptual period. A proper nutrient dense diet before and during pregnancy ensures life-long health outcomes on the structure of the child’s body, shape of face, teeth, and function of the organ systems and microbiome. In addition, making sure mama is receiving all the nutrients she needs to recover from childbirth and into nursing is very important, where nutrient density is critical for both her and baby. The goal is to
keep parents and baby well nourished from pregnancy throughout the baby’s growing years, into childhood and adult years. Many parents come across the importance of a nutrient dense diet after their baby is born, and it is never too late to introduce nutrient rich foods. A nutrient dense diet can help a baby recover from earlier deficiencies and give him or her the very best chance for a healthy happy life. If baby needs digestive help or is showing signs of GAPS, support is provided to help heal baby’s new digestive system. I am here to teach and guide you!
I can attest to the benefits of a nutrient rich diet for babies’ long term health… my son Wyatt has been raised on a nutrient rich ancestral diet based on the work of Sally Fallon Morell and the Weston A. Price Foundation. I followed their steps to nourishing a growing baby and child to the T. And…. I have a beautiful, intelligent, super healthy almost 15 year old boy who has NEVER needed antibiotics, fever reducers, or pain killers. He was nursed, fed raw jersey cow and raw goat milk since the age of one, and loves to eat an amazing variety of foods including raw oysters, liver pate, sardines, chicken hearts, homemade kefir and more! He is a fantastic eater with strong bones, teeth and constitution thanks to an ancestral diet.
