About ME
Why have I chosen this path? Because I believe that nourishing the terrain of the body is THE foundation of good health! I am passionate about beautifully grown food as well as the wisdom of the body…and especially the healing power of both nourishing foods and lifestyle. I have come to learn that what Mother Nature has provided us with is what we truly need to thrive. I am here to help others discover and experience the powers of nutrient rich foods and lifestyle practices that support your body’s own innate healing and functioning wisdom.
My own healing journey, and also the birth of my son, have been the inspirations and driving forces behind wanting to help others feel better and grow nourished, healthy children. While pregnant, a friend/ pilates cohort passed me Sally Fallon’s book Nourishing Traditions, and those first 70 pages changed my life and the way I sourced, prepared and ate food forever. (Sally Fallon Morrell heads the Weston A. Price Foundation, a non profit out of Washington D.C. that focuses on food research, farming and the healing arts.)
I raised my boy Wyatt on their recommended “Nourishing A Growing Baby” diet, and he has grown into a healthy, beautiful, strong boy as well as a fantastic eater. He eats everything from oysters to liver pate, and has an amazing appreciation for all different tastes and textures.
With a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of San Francisco, I became familiar with how humans learn and how to best teach to their individual learning needs. I bring this knowledge into educating my clients on how to create and live a healthier lifestyle where they learn to eat, move and live with more joy, passion and connection to themselves and the world. I have studied various forms of healing bodywork, foundations of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Pilates and functional movement, breath work, western herbal medicine 101, Nutritional Therapy, and most recently Gut and Psychology and Gut and Physiology Syndrome. I have learned various forms of detoxification that support all healing and have a genuine passion and joy helping others to heal and grow.
I am here as a teacher, a guide, a coach, a cook, a compassionate ear, and to share the knowledge I have been collecting about the roots of health and wellness for the past two decades. I have learned and pulled information from the best and most up to date researchers, doctors, healers and teachers. A few of these include Sally Fallon Morrell, Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride, Dr. Thomas Cowan, Dr. Kelly Brogan, Chef Monica Corrado, functional movement teacher Tom Mc Cook, and many other amazing souls. I look forward to sharing the gems of health that I have discovered with you, and to find which ones enliven the health of your own body’s garden.
